Currently, Jiraiya is being a pervy sannin fortheatrical_muse where he indulges in frequent flights of fancy.
Jiraiya would like to note:

On Jiraiya
Jiraiya canonically is in his fifties during the current Naruto timeline. He's one of the legendary three sannin with his former teammates Orochimaru and Tsunade. He is a master of a rather unique fighting style and employs the Rasengan as well as summoning techniques. He can summon frogs of various sizes and intellects. The largest of these is Gamabunta who is quite a character all on his own.
He is a writer of literature. The nature of that literature is quite questionable as he happens to be the writer of a series of popular adult entertainment novels titled "Come Come ____" with each novel getting its own final descriptor.
He travels quite extensively and frequently brings back knowledge from his journeys to Konoha which is his home village and the village that he fights for. One might call him a spy, but really he just happens to come along across valuable information while researching his next book. That's hardly spying, eh?
He's a bit of a peeping tom however and his peeping skills are legendary as well. The perv has a tendency to frequent the women's hot springs in search of his latest "research."
He's a bit of a free spirit and -like most of the Naruto characters- there is more to him than meets the eye. Despite his happy nature, he can be quite serious and can be quite formidable in battle or anger.
On this Jiraiya
This Jiraiya has been known to frequent such exotic locales as Vegas, Nevada, where he was living a life of pleasure in Sin City as a traveling author. While there, it seems his accent took a turn as he hailed originally from the bayous of Louisiana. Occasionally, that Jiraiya makes an appearance here.
This Jiraiya has also been known to interact in the mindscapes of others where he has since fallen trippingly in lust with a cowboy named Aeron. That fantasy will occasionally also feature here.
This Jiraiya has had many many adventures during his life and times and don't be alarmed if he suddenly appears younger or older or even with a new accent in a new location. After all, above all else, Jiraiya is a dreamer and a writer. Fantasy is his reality.
